Whattaya guys think about Augusta National Golf Club prohibiting women from joining?

Personally, I think Martha Burk is just a publicity hound and that a private men's only club is okay.

It's Hootie's club now, NOBODY knows how things work inside the club except for the 300 members, even less whom are chairs and actually go to the meetings.  If you want an interesting read consult the April 2003 Golf Digest on page 199.  A member speaking on the condition of anonymity talked about what it's like to be a member.  5 pages of good stuff.

It's a private club, of course they have full say in who are members.

Golfer, it's all very mysterious and stuff, but I don't think anyone really cares what golf members do. Well okay except funked (damn typos lol, one day I won't catch it in time, and you'll be known as ****ed)
Gone from the game. Please see Spikes or Nefarious for any Ahevents.net admin needs.

Masters is here in augusta now, there are protesters out on berkman road.
Women are allowed to golf the national they are just not allowed in the golf club.
This goes back to the origins of golf, an old scottish game whose
initials stand for G entlemen O nly L adies F orbidden.

women can have thier own club and exclude men-- whats the difference?
