Vehicle & explosion sounds
« on: October 22, 2000, 06:37:00 AM »
I've been working on sounds for couple of days for vehicles and to get better explosion sounds and I think it'll be ready to be released now.
Got bored to those original sounds...

  • 75mm sound
  • 37mm sound
  • Engine & Suspension sounds for panzers
  • Engine & suspension sounds for halftracks
  • Panzer 75mm/20mm hit sound
  • Halftracks 75mm hit sound
  • rocket/75mm ground hit
  • bomb explosion
  • building explosion
  • Vehicle explosion
  • MG34 sounds for panzers
  • .50 caliber sounds for halftracks
Recent changes:

  • .50 caliber sound from halftracks is now for planes too.
  • .30 caliber sound from panzers is now for planes too.
  • Explosion of structures changed
  • Added 20mm cannon sound

Install instrucions are simple; open the ahmm_sounds.zip file with winzip and extract all files to your aces high sounds folder.

Ie. c:\program files\hitech creations\aces high\sounds\

Note: this will overwrite existing explosion and gun sounds (except 30mm). (I recommend to backup the sound folder)

Click here to download the sounds (930kb)

Ps. Even if you're not for vehicles, you can still find explosion sounds being nice addition

NP about the disco, I figured that was the case.  New 37mm is nice.  I'm still using Mitsu's explosion 4 though.  It's not subtle, but I like it!

Not bad. From Steel Panthers: World At War, right? I hadn't thought about converting them to AH, but I like the idea  .

One of these days I'm gonna upload my 37MB sound pack

Still needs some work, everything's done but gear sounds vs extension.

Bah, dang stereo sounds have frapped my frame rates too. Least it sounds cool

I did change the sound package a bit just while ago and you can download new changes from the same URL which is in first post.

I added 20mm cannon sound and changed .50 / .30 caliber guns as default sound for those.
Explosion (4) for structures is also changed.

Zip file is 930kb, so I didn't do patches because its so small.
