no im rejoiceing in the fact that iraq dosnt have WMD, not because i want us to be proved wrong but because i hope that scumbags like those guys never had access to such things.. (i love your reaction to me just posting an article as well, its not like it can from bartcop or townhall or fox but from the AP wire. i can feel the love straffo keep those personal comments comming).

They had them all along...just like many of you that predicted hundreds of thousands would die in this war were wrong, you'll be wrong about this as well.

Unlike your capacity to understand the US effort in Iraq and against terror worldwide, the US can walk and chew gum at the same time. I suppose because you are not briefed daily or it's not on your favorite website, the US is only operating in Iraq?

You should just admit that you either have issues with Bush or our country...it's so obvious by the tone and consistency of some players past posts, that you would like to see our efforts fail.....at least I could respect the honesty rather than sit here day in and day out reading your negative criticisms.

Petty and simplistic....I have the feeling it would take a disaster to strike each of you personally for you to show any understanding or empathy towards the US mindset and our efforts to protect ourselves.

So thats how the UN and IAEA inspectors were stopping Iraq from distributing and manufacturing WMD - they put stickers on the doors of the places they were stored in. Stickers are "integral" in "ensuring" that the stuff doesnt go anywhere. Just prove how pompus and arrogant these UN beurocrats are...

Sigh. Some folks are really thickheaded.

Iraq HAS WMD's. They were used against Iran (chem) and against the Iraqui people themselves (kurds? bio/chem?).

It does not matter if Iraq "destroyed" their current arsenal, or hid it away or sold it... they know how to make them and they have the capacity to make them... and worse of all, have the capacity to TEACH others how to do it.

The only true way to "disarm" a rogue dictatorship is to invade and destroy their capacity completely. That means grabbing or killing the scientists involved and removing the infrastructure used to produce such weapons.

IMO, the Coalition is just playing a PR game... would you rather have CNN reporting that the US troops were blowing up factories and kidnapping/killing Iraqui scientists,etc, etc? Or a much more public-friendly "we're liberating them from oppression" slogan?

Make no mistake, Iraq's programme and weapons will be gone after the coalition leaves. Giving the Iraquis their freedom is just a nice side effect.

Ther real question is if we can't find the weapons....who has them? Did he, knowing war was coming, sell them or hand them over to someone else? He wouldn't leave them laying around for the coalition to find, that's for sure. I think there is something to find, just not sure if it's still in Iraq.

It was certainly scary to a great percentage of the Iraqi people.

They didn't fall apart in a week, it did take a bit longer. In fact, the war has not officially been stated as being over just yet, so it's still ongoing. France's 44-days until surrendered record may still end up remaining intact.
