Tactical Whines?
« on: April 13, 2003, 07:37:16 AM »
More and more lately I'm hearing people whining about people running, extending too long, etc.. and being 'cowards' and various obscenities for using the stengths in the plane they're in.

Example: 109-G10 VS. Spit9.    The G10(Or G10 pilot, whichever you prefer) dives in, and the Spit turns. (Being general here.) The G10 continues on and the Spit pilot whines on Ch1 about the G10 running.. (While the G10 comes back and rips Spit's tail off)

To the point. Noone who knows how to use the G10 is going to turnfight a Spit of any sort, because hands down, the Spit will win.
So, the G10 pilot gets whined at for use the plane properly.

What I'm sick of is all the flaming for flying smart and keeping your plane intanct, and getting whined at for not giving someone an easy kill. If people would take the time to think of this it would save a lot of frustration..

Just something I needed to vent, adn thanks for reading thus far before replying with some 'clever' insult. :D

It's happened in every online sim I've played, yes it is annoying to see a con extend away but then you have to admire the pilot for having the patience to not get sucked into a situation his plane is not suited to.

no insult I agree with you for the most part.

I squelch channel 1 as soon as I enter the arena. As far as I'm concerned channel 1 is a portion of the game that could get dropped out completely.

Are you kidding? The entertainment provided by Channel 1 is worth half what you pay for Aces High.

When someone start whinning about how you are flying your plane......you must be doing it right, because you have annoyed and agrivated the person trying to shoot you down:D

It also typically comes from one of two types...the newbie, who doesnt understand anything but point at the other guy and fire....and the self centered dweebaholic, who thinks anything you do is cheating, wrong, a hack, and/or an uber move if it gives you any sort of advantage.

I disagree, if there was no channel 1, then there would be no point shooting at chutes!

Noone? I turn with crappy SpitIX pilots in 109's all the time, and usually win. Turning with a good pilot in the spit will get me killed... but most people aren't good.

True, but the G10 turns well at a very limited range of speed, around 300MPH, I think. I won't turn with someone unless they're nearly out of E. I'm normally flying cover for buffs , in which case the even moderately experience pilot loses his SA and focuses on the big juicy target(s), while expending E zooming around dodging the guns..

poop, pick someone's post, click on their profile.

at the bottom of their profile are two choices in the black bar at the bottom.

right click on the 'add to your ignore list' one and choose properties.

create a link with that url in it..

I predict this to be a very, very long illness.
