Registration is closed, the Reserve List is closed, and the final roster is now posted.

Big Week

The Reserve List will continue to been drawn from in random order to fill any spots that may open between now and the days of the event. There are some people on that list that were moved onto the final roster - so if you signed up to that list, check to see if you got in.

The walk-on list will remain open. If you are on that list you may be called on (in random order) to fill any openings on the day of the event, provided you are in the practice arena at least 15 minutes before the hour. 15 minutes is the cut-off... however we more than likely will be starting to call names before then.

Finally, if you didn't make it onto the roster, we are still looking to fill positions for the LW Command Staff. Please e-mail me at cwharton@intergate.ca if you are interested.

Passwords to the Axis and Allied forums will be e-mailed to you all tomorrow (Tuesday).

Looking forward to it!

I'm glad it's done and am looking forward to it. I have never participated in a scen where there are 2 frames in a day; should be interesting. It may add a fatigue factor which could affect performance (or not).

I'm really surprised that nobody has signed up to help Fariz with being the LW Command staff. Sure, it means that you won't get to fly in the scneario, but somebody has to make the sacrifice so that their side has a better chance to win. It would be a shame if Fariz had to deal with everything all by himself. C'mon guys, someone step up and help out Fariz!

I think the problem is that the staff positions are non-flying.

I for one wouldn't give up a chance to fly.

A couple of my guys hinted they may be interested but they rather fly. This is the first AH scenario that my squad (all of us) are taking part.

There are plenty of good planners and tacticians out there that aren't signed up to fly.

Maybe a couple of them will step up.

"The tops a lonely place.........."

I simply just can't. I do not have the time in between to do any of the staff duties and it was tough as it was to get the personal time to just "fly" in this.

However I do want to say that win or lose I'm behind Fariz 100%! That goes for anyone else who volunteers to be the Axis leaders. I'm in for the fun and excitement. Winning, although nice and it is the ultimate objective, is secondary to me.   :)

Maybe the best way to entice XOs would be to have one for each individual frame.

that way you wouldn't miss out on all 4. I'd do it if I could fly 3 frames and help direct one. I'm sure others would too.

And you ALLIES ARE SCREWED!

I don't think there's a rule expressly forbidding commanders from flying, but I can't imagine being able to do the command role effectively while trying to stay alive in a hostile environment. I just assumed the LW command staff would want to be ground-based so they can utilize radar and can remain focused on the big picture.

Doh banana I thought I read somewhere that they couldn't fly.  I can't find it now so it must be my imagination.
