Yeah - whenever I find myself more nervous than excited at a Flyers game, I always remind myself what it must be like to be a Wings fan right about now.
As for Brash and Domi... I ****ing hate Domi... which, Im sure, everyone not living in Toronto can identify with.
Domi is one of those players that is "average-good" enough to get away with certain behavior... but the faces he makes and the frequency with which he flaps his gums has got to make him the one man in the NHL that more than a few people have thought of ducttaping in their basement.
His "thumbs down" and monkey faces after the Brash fight sent the arena over the top... Domi's face was puffy, red, and his one eye was halfway shut and he still had the audacity to act like he won because Brash lost his balance after Domi's "helicopter-o-rama" drag down.
He's kind of like that kid in 3rd grade (you know the one) that would annoy the hell out of you with comments like "I know you are but what am I" and "Im telling!" all while having a smile on his face. You were forced to severly beat this child on a weekly basis and he still never got the hint.
It was really an experience... playoff hockey means that the fans are crazy... playoff hockey in Philly where the Flyers score more than one goal multiplies this effect... and when Brash and Domi started exchanging words at the circle and dropped gloves, you couldnt hear the person screaming next to you the roar was so intense.
And then, typical of Domi, he avoids Brash the rest of the 3rd period, dispite the fact that Brash wanted to go again - shadowing Domi for the entire shift - and then the little **** takes a swipe at Recci after the final whistle.
Anyone remember the game a few years back where the Philly fans brought down the glass behind Domi in the penalty box to attack him? This city hates... HATES Domi... If he were knocked flat out unconscience in game 5 and got up after 5 minutes, I promise you there would be a grand total of 10 people in the arena clapping for his recovery. His family and the fools that wear a Leafs jersey in this town.
Domi is reason enough to invade Canada - lets go.
