I saw Rochester play once.  They had a black guy on their team at the time (1983 was the year) who was their "goon".  He was "on ice" for five minutes the whole game...and was in the penalty box for longer than that.

A guy on the other team was doing really well...this black guy comes out on a change after the puck went into the crowd.  When the ref dropped the puck to restart the game this guy just dropped his gloves and started pounding the guy on the other team.

Great fun to watch.:D

He's actually a pretty reserved and generally nice guy off the ice... :D   Does a lot of work with kids.

If you met him face to face, you'd probably not be able to reconcile the intensity of his on ice game face with his real personality.

I'd still hate him

he's that 'little' guy from school that was always getting away with stuff because he was small...

you know the type..

pick on someone until they retalliate.. then the other person gets in trouble.. yep.  that was him as a child I'm sure.
how else could he be so good at the role?

"....had to almost laugh at the Domi - Brashier (sp) fight..
David and Goliath I mean... ".

I missed that one.  Who won?  Did Domi actually stand toe to toe with him or pull his little spinerama move?

In all fairness Im sure I cant judge Domi based on his on-ice conduct alone, and Im sure he's a fine guy.  He does score 15-20 goals a season and he is a bit of a playmaker.  Whats more... hes the kind of guy you want on YOUR team... getting under the skin of the enemy...

...but since hes not... Ill be looking to get my $120 worth in game 5 from Brash.  :D

For your viewing pleasure - here is the shot of Domi antagonizing Philly fans... this was taken moments before the fans broke through the glass to get him:

"Hi Im Tie Domi, dont mind the black eye, I won that fight, you suck.  Thirsty?  Naana naana booo booo!"

"Something going on over here?"

"Brash..."

"Easy JR, Im just going to get a drink."

"I won that fight too!  Nanna naana booo boooooo! Haa haaaah!! What?  Thats all you got?  Nanner nanner nanner!"

"What the hell is wrong with him?"

"****, I dunno... I imagine you'd be crazy too if you got hit in the head that many times."

Bowser - Brash landed 2-3 good ones - fell once as a result of the Domi spin-o-rama #1 - got up, landed 2-3 more - fell twice as the result of the DOmi spin-o-rama #2.  Refs come in, Domi sneaks 2-3 shots into Brash's topside as the refs subdue Brash, preventing him from standing up again and continuing.

Heres a link to the fight from a Leafs site - the announcer is a little... shall we say... biased.  :D

Thanks for that.  Have to give the edge to Brashear in that one.  Domi yanked him off his feet a couple of times, he's good at that but Brashear got the better shots in.  Brashear has usually handled Domi pretty good.   Found a couple here:

$120.... good price... ours were $290/seat for last night's game 3, center ice (row 12 platinums) ...  but that's Canadian funny money.... so it really doesn't count... :D

They were free, so I guess we really shouldn't complain.... ;)

It was a terrific game..... :D

Go Leafs Go!!!

Regards,
Badger

ps: Brashear is 6' 2" and 235 lbs...  Domi is 5' 10" 200 lbs.. doesn't do bad for a little guy, but he needs to get a grip on his on-ice temper.  Sometimes I think he just does it to play to the crowd's frenzy ..... just like some posters on here. :D :D

Flyers are pounding the net - Belfour is playing an amazing game.  62 saves on 64 shots thus far.
