Hehe I was just wondering.
If we could get a deployabe 4 man Mortar Team that could be either dropped off near a enemy field by a C-47 or M3 or even maybe a spawn point. Then you controll all 4 men as one group and when you think your in a good position you could hit say the Bombbay doors key to deploy and undeploy and use the F6 key to get a view thru Binoculars to adjust your fire in on your target

I think this would be cool

Or maybe i'm being greedy and should just play with all the lovely new goodies 108 bought to us

mobile artillery might be easier - just something to hook to the m3 and m16

Yep DOA was cool I used to love Flying a spotter plane for the Arty, Hehe then again im am an ex Aussie artillary man . Towable Guns is great idea MrFish

Be nice to get that russian rocket artillery truck, can't remember exactly what its called, Katushnya or something. Fires a barrage of big nasty rockets. Nice perk gv yah?

If there is going to be Katusha rocket battery ever added to AH (and I dont see any reason to do so) then I dont find any reason for it to be perked...

Have you ever tried to hit something with rockets on PT? Same aiming system you would need to deploy for Katushas....

Very interesting idea! Would be really nice to be able to deploy such a fire team on a hill above the base

Then I would just miss external sound of someone yelling 'INCOMING!' when in tower of bombarded base

Of course some piece of mobile artilery with aiming system similar to fleet guns with cooperating spotter plane and C47 bringing ammo would be really cool...

Did someone say mortars? While some of the ideas above lack a basic understanding of mortar platoon deployment I like the idea of Mortar teams. After 8 years in a mortar platoon I'd like to suggest this:

Deploy the heavy mortar team out of a C47 or M3. Deploy a forward observer closer to the target and have friendly C47's/M3's drop ammo resupplies to the Mortar team.
Most importantly remove the neon "KILL ME" icon over the observer and mortar teams.

Fire control is another thing but the closest I ever saw to real life was the system in Dawn of Aces.

MCBIRDGUY I believe the Katushya's were similiar in accuracy to normal artillary fire considering the volume and dispersion of the barrage.

Just a thought, apoligize if i somehow offended you
