So Long

The excitement is gone.  There is little joy left.

After leaving the 412th it started going down hill.   Just wasnt any more fun after that point.   The Misfits were a good group of guys, just not the clockwork of the 412th.  After trying to stick around for a while, I just got burned out.

It didnt help much with these large maps.  Gone were the more agressive missions.  Something hard to do with 40 bases along the front.  You push, they push around you....The missions stop commin.

In the attempt to increase cash flow due to more numbers, HTC all but ruined the stratgic fun of the game.  All but gone are those bomber squads working with those fighter squads...the days of the 412th and other squads with those B17 groups, working together...It all but seems a memory.

The love is gone, there is nothing left to be felt.  Once possibly the greatest joy in my life, all but a thorn in my side...

So long Aces High, I can only hope others dont take the same path as I.

Misfits
412th
CPR, FsCage, Rthus, Midnight, Tango, BlckShp.
Rooks
13th TAS
Twin Engine Devils
Nightmares
81st
Special Events Folk (Those TOD were the spotlight)
To all those who made Aces High fun.

"The thrill is gone
The thrill is gone away
The thrill is gone, baby
The thrill is gone away
You know you done me wrong, baby
But you will be sorry someday

The thrill is gone
It's gone away from me
The thrill is gone away from me
Although, I'll still live on
But so lonely I'll be

The thrill is gone
It's gone away for good
The thrill is gone baby
It's gone away for good
Someday I know I'll be over it all, baby
Just like I know a good man should

You know I'm free, free now, baby
I'm free from your spell
Oh, I'm free, free, free now
I'm free from your spell
And now that it's all over
All I can do is wish you well"

You didn't let anyone see your password now did you?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I speak for us all in the community when I offer you my most sincere apology for the treatment that you have endured at the hands of these indifferent, immature, and base quality individuals.

No one deserves the indignity of being on the receiving end of such nonsence and degradation like in this thread. I am ashamed of those who perpatrated these attacks against you, but aswell, I am ashamed that we, who are the decent and rule abiding, will sit idly by while one of our own is treated brutaly by the pedantic ravings of some testosterone driven pervert who has no sence of propriety and even less of a sence of basic morality. Shame on them, Shame on us.

I hope that you feel that you may someday return to AH. I understand your reluctance to continue, but do know this; good or bad, you made an impression. This is not such an easy task in a community filled the best of the best and the worst of the worst. You will always have a home with the fellas in the Fat Queer Bastards, where you can go and feel protected.

Good luck to you in all of your present and future endevours. Hope to see you back in the sky soon. until then,

Creamo

Oh, and P.S, Please please just take a break and think it over. You leaving will be ours and HTC's loss for sure !! Of that I am 200% positive.
As mentioned, you need somewhat of a think skin in here and be able to shrug things off or as a last resort squelch the 500% total lamers who do or did make you feel this way by not getting into 20K furbals.

A great attitude like yours is hard to come by and brightened every second of our flying time that you were online.
I know you recently joined our squad, The The Fat Gay Bartards, and I hope your time with us was good. I think it was from my correspndence with you via e-mail.

Forget those fools!!!

From the responses, I'm sure you can tell for every 'character' who didn't give you respect, there were at least a dozen or more who did. Maybe some of them silently, but they were willing to stand with you when the times got tough.

As for the learning curve, we didn't have to much time to get into that but you have to remember that AH isn't as easy as checkers and probably tougher than chess. You have to take little steps and gradually things will get better, that I can guarentee.

Stay happy and posistive and don't let the 'badies' get you down.
They show how foolish they are and you can show how strong you are.

Actually, good riddance you emotional train-crash bastard.

i understand how he feels, them of us who have been around for a while have seen the game grow, evolve, we have all met some great friends here and some enemies. now the game has stalled in the last 6 -8 months and we no watch it grow old and tired because of the lack of input from the HTC people. its a crying shame..
