wow, thats fast, but still would take a while to get new engine mounted, rigged and run-out.   probably a 2 hour job on that 109.....8 or so for some planes.   even so, we fly 5 minutes to get to the fight, when in R/L they flew for an hour or two.  so, why not speed up the repair process too.

Hmmmm, OK JB73 :)

Ready to go, sure I can believe that.  But I know from experience that it usually takes longer to put one on than to take it off.    So say it was equal time...still 30+ minutes.

But this is irrelevant, you got me arguing the wrong side of the discussion! :D

The N1k engine was supposedly a bear when it came to maintenance.  Required lots of training and skill.   Lets just not give them engine repairs :D :p

Of course, this will become moot for me, because every ping on me will result in a pilot wound.  ;)

If I read the information about the new game correctly, this is what will be done.

I don't care if they have little Mario and Luigi guys run out and fix your plane, as long as they can be turned off for events.

Wouldnt take that long to put a new turret on a tank?

Sherman tanks got kilt all the time....the actual damage to the shell often wasnt that bad...they just hosed off the body parts..splashed some paint on..patched it...put it back into battle
