I thought turkey guts were used for making hotdogs.  No way I'm giving up hotdogs just for some oil.  If we give up hotdogs the terrorists will have won.

heck, 2 decades from now, every house will have one of those things plugged to their toilets.

Take a crap, flush, and go to your garage and pump your car full hehehe.

If a 175-pound man fell into one end, he would come out the other end as 38 pounds of oil, 7 pounds of gas, and 7 pounds of minerals, as well as 123 pounds of sterilized water.

And if anyone gets in their way, they just disappear.  :D  I mean, if the thing breaks things down at the molecular level, then it would also break down human DNA strands.  Throw your enemy in there, and they vanish without a trace!  Spiffy!

Also, you could use it for capital punishment.  "I sentence you to depolymerization, where you will finally benefit mankind by heating their homes!"

Then there is using it as an alternative for cremation.  "No, dear, I don't want to be cremated, I want to be depolymerized!  You can keep my oil on the mantle!"

Heh, am I the only one reminded of Dune with the "123 pounds of sterlized water" from a "175-pound man." ???  :D

Nifty, you scare me.

But I like the way you think!

:D

edit: This could also mean junk mail companies would get a huge boost in bussiness!

If I had one of those things in my house, i'd sign up for every possible junk mail list. My car's fuel would be delivered to my door every day. Awesome!!!

Sounds great with one flaw:

"The process is designed to handle almost any waste product imaginable, including turkey offal, tires, plastic bottles, harbor-dredgedmuck..."

Are they going to stick me in the machine?

I recall an experiment along this lines that was done about 20 years or more ago. The big problem was it cost the equivalent of 20 barrels of oil to produce 5 barrels. If they have made the process efficeint, great.
