Actually, I can appreciate all of the various Scotches and Irishes.

MacAllan's just my favorite.

Some have tricks to them, though. I never cared much for Lagavulin; had a few bottles bought or given now and again but it never did much for me.

Then I buddy was over that really likes it, so I gave him a shot glass and the bottle. He says "It always needs a bit of water".

This is news to me, but he makes me a Lagavulin with just a bit of water in it. WOW! Whole different taste... I like it now, quite a bit actually. That water releases a whole different "flavor set".

MacAllan is still my favorite though.

Irish? the 12 year old John Jameson is awfully good whiskey. So's the Black Bush, but it's a Prod whiskey.  ;)

Iron, Fat Tire is good stuff in the bottle too.

You gotta trya'bundah by Aberlour. a'bundah is gaelic for origin. It's Scotch the way it was made in the beginning, EXCELLENT!
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

One night I got handed a flaming drink, so I blew it out and drank it.  It was actually pretty good.  Came to find out later that it was Hot Damn! mixed with 151.  Nice pleasant cinnamon taste, and about 10 minutes later you're lucky if you can stand up.

Of course, the multiple shots of Jeremiah Weed beforehand might have had something to do with that.

Hehe try doing a couple of those while on your way to 21 shots (plus some beer and wine) on that right of passage known as the 21st birthday.  Funny, it's the only birthday I've had I can't remember :)

Oh he didn't pay for it.  The fighter pilots made him drink it.  And I had to take care of him afterwards.  That was a fun night.  :D

I'll jump on board with the Alberlour crew. The Alberlour 100 proof Single Malt is definately the one to have if you have only time for "Just the one".

But Glen Turret 12 year old is my choice if I have time on my hands.
