GE was the lead artist for AW. Some of us have been marvelling at his work for years.  There's also a lot more to that page. It's done by MIA, another of those ex AW'rs. IIRC, MIA has gotten together a group pf WWII fighter pilots who meet monthly for lunch and BS sessions. A lot of good first person stuff on that site from th guys who were there.

BTW, GE now fly's AH from time to time. Pony driver.

What a great guy.  

I met him first in a .. errr ummm board discussion (ie we got into an arguement in a newsgroup). And someone I ended up on the telephone with him one night, and I learned he was a great guy. We've been friends since.

Since then we've met in person, and I've visited him when he worked for Kesmai down in Charlotesville a couple of times.

I'm not sure where his is now, since the night of the long knives, but I wish him the best.
