Ok tongiht the knits were getting a major butt kicking (as usual),  a few of us brought up the idea of a leader, one who can plan a mission that ppl can follow. Now, NO ONE has to follow orders, they can fly where ever they want. However in times of need we can at least have person to look up too.

I vote for CavemanJ to be our leader. He has proven himself time and time again by planing raids and missions that get results. (unlike mine which always flop)

Who do you vote for?

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.

Does this mean Bishops and Rooks have to say "Take me to your leader" when we're making negotiations for beer?

OMG this is going to swell Cave's head some more, but he can be my leader.  Then again; he already is my squad leader.

There was a guy in WB ACA that called himself "General of the Green"... who was that?

Anyway, with the mission editor coming I suppose there will be some times when some people might want this... and I wouldn't mind... if I wasn't forced to participate against my wishes. One only has to reread the results of the last time someone tried to order others around to realize where that will go.

lol mino, can't swell my head, I already know I am the one

wasn't me in WB, never flew it online

I personally can't wait for the mission planner.  I've got some doozies that (hopefully) I'll be able to fully lay out and get them filled and executed.
If ya want me to lead, I will.  If ya dinnae want to participate, that's cool, I won't hound you.  But if you do sign on for a mission I'm putting together I will expect ya to do as you're told and get your part of the frag order done

Oh, Cave, I know it wasn't you. In fact, I left the name off intentionally (it was a rhetorical question).

My only fear with any designated leader is being forced to spend my precious little private time in a way that is against my desires. I'm sure this is not what you have in mind.

Ahah!  Was this before the Kieren we all know and love shortened his handle to simply "Kieren".  "Busboy Kieren" seems a longish name, not many six calls I bet!

We need to do something.  Tonight was the first night that I've ever just hit that quit button because I just couldn't take any more.    This truely was the worst night for me in a LONG time.  Since I won't be happy unless I share it with you   here goes:

First of all I log on to find the great Knight gangbang going stronger than ever. (3 bases left, dar down)  I didn't let this get to me so I decided to try to help in anyway I could.  At base 4 I saw a p51 vulching the field, so when he turned to run I upped in a p51 myself.  After chasing him down I managed to hit him A LOT.  He lost 1/2 a wing, engine, and maybe his rudder.  Instead of dying when he hit the ground, he ditched and I lost the kill.  Knowing this happens from time to time I let it go.  Next sortie I grabbed a ton of alt to go stop the rooks at 37.  I lined up on a con, took off his wing and "Host connection lost."    (Of course this counts as a death you know.)  Never one to give up I logged back on after checking ping times on both routes.  Again I upped and climbed to 22k and headed for 37.  I found a p51 below me, jumped him, and him out for SURE. (Reduced to lawndart.   )  Just then I blew up.  A N1k had spotted me and blew me away.  Chalking that one up to bad SA I took off again.  (I sure am persistant.   )  This time I was in a b17.  I thought I might hit 10 and slow down the rook attack.  Just as I get to the target a 109 appeared.  We went at it HO and I pinged him like mad.  Unfortunately he must have got me even harder, because I blew up.  I decided to give it one last try to see if I could get something to go right.  Again I took a p51 to 25k this time and flew it right over 10.  I saw one of the Bucs being attacked by 8 rooks at once, so I dove in there to try to do what little I could to help him.  I lined up on a p38 at the top of a loop and lit him up for a good 2 seconds across his planform.  He immediately went spiraling down.  Thinking I finally got a kill I zoomed back up and tried to find my next target.  Just then I looked down only to see that P38 (white and black smoke pouring out of it) ditch.  Soon afterwards an F4u came in WAY above me.  After about a minute of evasives he blew me up.  I didn't feel like doing it again...    I guess we all have nights like this though.  Hopefully tommorow will be different.

There, I feel better now.

I say lets try it out and see if we can make it work.  I've done raids with Cave before and I'm sure he would be great.

I say StSanta. That guy is totally brilliant, a tactical genious and has strategic moves that would make any general jealous.

Generalissimo StSanta. Oh yeah baby.

Don't expect success. Expect self indulgence. But you all love me, you little plebeian peasants.

Just look at his track record. He's the XXXO of JG2! And he has planned NO failed strikes to date! (in fact he has planned no strikes, but that's just twisting statistics)

Him and the Soup Nazi, they'd rule.
