using a Leadtek TV tuner and a ATI9700 pro
« on: April 28, 2003, 11:18:27 AM »
Is there anyone here using a Leadtek deluxe 2000 XP TV tuner card and an ATI 9700 pro with XP PRO?  I cant cet the Leadtek card to install correctly and use the TV Tuner, crazy because  the FM tuner works fine but if i goto use the TV PVR function it crashes and reboots.

Just curious if anyone else is using this configuration and has it working!

other spec's
AMD 2200 xp
512mg DDR 400
Asus A7V8X mobo
sound blaster live.

It worked fine with my Geforce 2 card but it wont work with the ATI
I just did a freash clean install of XP and trying to get everything set back up!

Any help is welcome!

I have that card in my system.  (Though with a GeForce 4 Ti card.)  This card requires at least Direct X 8.1 to function, so be sure that or newer is installed.  Also, there are 4 drivers for this card, go into device manager and be sure they have all been installed.

About the only other thing that I can think of that you can tweak with is enabling or disabling "overlay" mode.

Which companies' drivers were at fault?  If you got help from Leadtek's tech support hell must have frozen over a few days ago and I didn't hear about it. ;)

LOL Bloom i email them bastards 3 times from the tech. report help page and finally got a respones on my 3rd attemp because i titled it " YOU CALL THIS TECH SUPPORT"  lol
basically  it was leadtek drivers that were the problem on wensday night i was trying to re-get them from there page and it was down (only the multimedia page)  i actually called the Tech that emailed me at work and he told me on the phone that they were updating the newer drivers for multimedia cards.  Once i did that i reinstalled the card (this time it already knows where the bad drivers are) had to update the TV tuner/video capture drivers then using the installation disk open only the application installation portion. BOOM worked like a charm!
