British. Formerly HMS Hero : built by Vickers Armstrong (Newcastle-on-Tyne, U.K.) on 28 Feb, 1935.

HMS Hero was involved in the sinking/capture of these 2 U-boats:
 
30 Oct, 1942 U-559
29 May, 1942 U-568

Transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy as HMCS Chaudiere on 15 Nov, 1943.

HMCS Chaudiere was involved in the sinking/capture of these 3 U-boats:
 
18 Aug, 1944 U-621
6 Mar, 1944 U-744
20 Aug, 1944 U-984

no...what year was it put out of service...what was the name of its skipper in the year 1944??? how many crew were there what major battles was it in...
