Just 5 Perkies should be enough to drop it's usage by 20%.

Fish On!!!!- The B&Zers hate the nik, I avoid it 1v1 when flying a 51, jug or hog, hunt it when in any of the spits, zeke or ki61.

Currently 8:2 against the N1K2, and one of those was my PT Boat, the other a 8:1 fight where the N1K2 comes dwon from 10k to finish it. It does include a TBM kill, where I caught Niki completely stalled.  :D

I don't turn fight them, and if I find a talented pilot in one (I can always tell) I leave, or wait until I have the odds in my favor.

There is nothing magical about the N1K2. I suspect that pilot psyche is helping the Niki along.

Two rules:
1) Don't HO a Niki, as you will not rtb.
2) Don't level turn with one, because you might not even pick up on his reversal (it happens quick).

SPLASH!!! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

 :)

I think the Nik is a hoot. It seems true enough that most dweebs will take it into a HO given half a chance, but it is one of the last planes I even think about.
Even prior to the 1.08 fix, it just wasn't a huge threat to me. I worry more about Spits, La's and P51s.
The N1K is one of the slower planes in the AH plane set. (Book speed of 368mph)
Probably because when you see a N1K you know it's not RWY, Drill, Ripsnort...or anyone how knows how to fly. <Fish does some of his own trollin>

Seems that the N1K has been neutered some.  I started out the other day with a co-alt engagement at about 12K, me in a F4U-1D.  Although I did not get the kill, I was running out of fuel, I had control of most if not all of the fight.

The N1K driver seemed capable enough.  He realized the hammerhead’s I was pulling into and seemed to extended at all the right times.  I didn’t see the infamous prop hang and the acceleration seemed slower.

Anyhow, I don’t think it needs to be perked.

The N1k likely won't be perked, and I think you will see a marked decrease in its use this tour.

This soon after its adjustment is waaaaay to soon to be passing judgement.

Perking the chog introduced a nasty precedent, perking the N1k will only make it nastier ...

Don't perk it!!
just gimme a few more perks for chutin it so i can save for more 262's

No need to perk the Niki......couldn't believe it last night when I got into the middle of a furrball at A44 in my P47D-30, got a couple kills, decided to bug out and get some alt before I got shot down.....looked back and saw a Niki giving chase.  Prior to the 1.08 update, I would have been toast, as he was 1.1K back, low on my 6.  Last night I just kept her level, hit WEP, accelerated away from the guy.  I was at about 5K, 200IAS when I started my extension.
Everything I have ever read said the Niki was the equal to anything the Allies had, not superior to them.  For once, the Niki seems just about right.  Last version, the Niki would have clawed his way into range, even if I did the zero-G dive to get speed.  I think Pyro and company did a great job addressing the FM issue.

last tour

Wotan has 48 kills and has been killed 17 times against the N1K2.

this tour I've only killed 1. I fly lw planes and only time I have trouble with a niki is if nash is flying or I'm stupid.

This tour I haven't seen many but I'm only 1 kill no deaths.

Nikis are great to kill to improve your perks. In a plane with a high eny value you can run some pretty good perk points.

It in no way should be perked. I dont think it has a 1:1 k/d last tour.

You need to fight it on your terms and dictate the flow on the battle. Any mistake it will kill you. We all no its manuverability so you have to think ahead of it.

I never was one to complain about the chog but imho the 8 perks points was good fer the main. The niki in no can compare the chog and its effect on gameplay.

Don't perk it................

I think some people in here get killed assign blame to the aircraft he was fighting as a way to explain his own lack of skill. Get rid of the nikis that same guy doesn't die less without developing his skill just other planes kill him in place of the niki.

And we all know we dont get killed by better pilots just dweebs and ufos.......

Nikis are easy to kill.

Many Niki pilots are so poor that you can outurn them in a nice 109G6 or 190A5. Otherwise boom and zoom them, dont try to rope them from anything but a very great E superiority and be smart.

whats with that quote....? Only people that know how to fly Don't fly the Niki????

Please attack the plane not the flyers.
I like the Nik, Nueter it to the point it's justa shadow of itself and i'll still fly it

NO Ki-84   3600 plus built, NO A-26 ( not sure the numbers)  2 of my rides and after 2 years of waiting we get Luffwaffles and Meggatonnage of Allied planes... Gueeeezzzzzzzzzz last i read japan fought in WW2 also.
AND CHRIST! the Niki doesn't even have a 1 to1 K/D Why all the whines?

Perk it, nueter it, make the IJN almost non existant. the 20MM cannons can't kill a freakin tank, or take out a hanger or VH. Rate of fire can't hit a scissoring pony at 50 feet. So just take it out of the game all together and we can forget it was a most feared and respected plane of ww2. And to all the people that whined cause i killed you in my Niki PSSSSSSssssssT. Thats why you'll NEVER see the Ki-84, you weeners can't handle a plane with a less that 1 K/D.  If Japan had any decent pilots left at the tail end of the war, all you Californias would be eating sushi now,, oh wait you already do.....

I don't want it perked because of it's capability.  I like flying it once in a while also, it's a fun plane to fly.  I just think a SMALL perk value would encourage usage of other aircraft and add to arena variety.
