Rate AH on a scale of 1 to 10

10 being what you thing the perfect online sim would be.
1 being a laughable attempts
What other sims can or have done isnt really that relevent. What would be perfect is the issue.

Considering that in this specific genre, AH's only real competition is itself, I think you have to give it something like a 9 overall.

Most important thing to improve it for me would be new planes or maps for MA.

While it's not perfect, I really don't think there is too much to squeak about in the way the game works.

I agree with naj.   Only a few weak points here and there; overall an amazing and terrific game.  9.

Would much rather have had a score of new planes and new maps though, in the time that's being spent on AH2.   I thought the current AH had plenty of mileage left.

It'll be interesting to see what HTC is cooking up with AH2 graphicswise.

AH = 9 if non trinity map is on (would be 10 except for bugs)

It is, you just pick from 1-10 :D

Overall, from when I got chances to play in the MA, I would give it about a 6.75.

I think that you can interpret damage model as a physics issue (bullet flight paths, energy transfer, energy required to break a particular part, etc.)  or you can consider damage model to be a visual issue (dang, that fire and smoke looks real!).

I think AH is very high on the physics end, and games like IL-2 are much higher on the visual, but have questional physics.

Damage model ratings could have 2 parts...  visual and physical.
