I've landed 21-kill and 15-kill sorties in a Panzer IV, participating in the suppression and capture of fields, by setting up in a vulching position -- where I've gotten all three of my main-gun kills of flying aircraft. I can only imagine what the pilots thought when they saw the 75mm shell inbound and figured that there was no way I was going to be able to hit a moving aircraft...

Hispd shoots me down with missing aileron and rudder in his N1K just before final.

One of my best ever landed kills was in a c-47. I was trying to get a goon into a field and was using the cv as cover while the fighters was trying to get in a good cap that way I could sneek in real quick and drop. While flying over cv I had three cons try killin me i got proxy for all three, however I was pinged in the process and was hit in my aelerons and had to rtb. I couldn't climb anymore cause all i could do was stall so i landed on the ground near our closest base and drove uphill and downhill for 45 min to get these kills recorded.

Yeah, and a very good sortie it was too, enjoyed the film ~~. Most i ever landed was 16 in an F4U-C, but it was because of Noob's upping bomber formations on a vulched field~~

Hey Grun, I saw that movie you recorded too. Very impressive. You used tactics similar to the great Erich Hartmann. Oh yeah, and Feaster is UNREAL, check out his stats for tour 39, 3195/472 K/D ratio. For the math impaired, that is almost 7 kills for every death for the entire tour. The lion's share in tanks, but the airplane stats are nothing to sneeze at either. Thankfully I haven't been one of those kills... yet.

Fester is a genius at this game. He could post a 50/1 K/D anytime he wants to. He's probably the best shot in the game as well.

Yet, achieving a huge K/D isn't especially difficult in itself. Doing it with a respectable K/T, K/S is tougher, and Fester can do that easily too.

As far as generating a big K/D, especially in the MA where lameness abounds (ask Shane!), a big K/D isn't tough to get. Trust me, check my stats. While it can be an indicator of several factors, it can also be an indicator of a guy who runs more than fights and cherry picks stragglers. So, you really must view K/D within the context of other stats, such as kills per sortie and kills per hour. Likewise, if all a pilot does is run to vulchfests, a big K/D is usually the result.

JAB that was me (Wadke) in a Spitfire V at A22 on NDIsles... Shot down a lanc formation and ended up with 302 kills:D

Not the best I've done but sure I'll remember this. I shot fester down 2 times in 1 sortie. Air to air.

He must have been very very drunk or something..
