Dallas Mavs?
« on: May 03, 2003, 07:41:02 PM »
Um... what the hell was I watching last night?  I'm hitting Applebees last night with a friend and I look up at the screen and see a 31 point lead.  And notice its now game six of the series.

WTF man.  How the hell can't you beat a team full of pot smoking malcontents?  A team fielded by unproven richboys that think the world owes them even more?  WTF?

As a life long Blazer fan, I was looking forward to a humiliating first round defeat.  Everything looked good.  0-3, only 1 close game.  A bunch of injured players.  So you'd think it would be easy for Dallas to deliver the knockout punch.  But noooo... we have to endure four more games of that ****.

Thanks for nothing you fricking posers.

Oh... and while I'm at it... the T'Wolves suck.

I think the problem is that the Mavs are lightweights and can't handle the Portland buds.

Heya Mini, uh...which NBA team are you refering to when you reference pot smoking malcontent underachievers? The last time I looked that covered just about every organized basketball team playing at a Junior College level or above.

That statement was based on convictions airhead.  I realize its not very qualifying in and of itself... but if you look at convictions...

BTW, I have a freind that is an attourny specializing in immigration related issues.  The firm he worked for handled the Portland Trail Blazer account.  Seems they need a bunch of help getting the players into Canada due to all of their convictions.  Good thing there's only one team left up there.

There was a web site that ran down the rap sheets of NBA players. Pretty amazing stuff:) The one I didn't understand was the player (I forget his name) who recently got busted for pot, speeding, no drivers' license and no insurance in his new Escelade. I mean, if you can afford to pay cash for the car why not ask the car dealer to tack on a couple of years' insurance on that puppy?

the NBA is a business, also NFL,MLB,NASCAR, etc etc, the more playoff games, the more profit.

it's not personal, it's just business.

Believe this has happened to three blazers.  You're going to have to be more specific with your questions.

And john9001, in an attempt to keep all of your posts consistant, you've really showed some ignorance in regards to the NBA now too.  Maybe you could find out how many times a team, in the playoffs, has come from 0-3 to force a game 7 in a best of 7 series.  My money says its not a whole lot... despite how much money was to be made.  Buisness or not, when it comes to the playoffs, teams are supposed to be all about winning... except the Mavs, who seem to suck too much to know that.
