Armament: three 20-mm cannon and two 12.7mm machine guns.  Provisions for up to 630 kg (1390 lb) of bombs when deployed as a fighter bomber.

The book calls this fighter "likely the finest production Italian fighter of WWII" and "capable of meeting the finest allied aircraft on equal terms."  Unfortunately only 48 were produced before the armistice, but they saw heavy use in the defence of Naples, Rome, and Sicily.  A few also saw service over Berlin.

This fighter would fit in very well with our current set.  It also gives you the possibility for making many early war varients with only minor revisions to the 3-D shape. (Re.2000, Re.2001, Re.2002)  The Re.2002 was used heavily during the allied landings on Sicily in 1942.
