This is from the May 9 NYT:

As the team and members of the Iraqi National Congress arrived at the Mukhabarat [Iraq secret police] headquarters, soldiers found a well-dressed, physically fit young man with a neatly clipped beard and mustache moving into the building.

Team members said he was carrying false identification papers and a telephone directory with numbers from Arab countries including Yemen. One member of MET Alpha, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he seemed to be well versed in counterinterrogation techniques. The man, whom the military did not publicly identify, was turned over to military authorities for questioning.

the team's intelligence analysts found a section of a manual about ways in which the Bush administration's Department of Homeland Security planned to defend Americans against unconventional attacks. The phone number on the cover sheet and pages indicated that the material had been faxed from Iraq's United Nations office in New York.


Hmmmmmm.......:)

Oh, and almost all of that stuff that was "looted" from their national museum, wasn't.  It was put in safe storage!

I know I know, Dowd and Blix and some of y'all still want to see those WMD sites. Well, I'll bet they'll be unearthed soon.

You see how the USA hating saddam lovers are allready positiong themselves to disregard any evidence of terror support found in iraq. Mind you they have allready stated that any WMD found in iraq will be planted by the CIA...

How ironic the French being in the UN, since they are probably the most guilty of violating UN resolutions regarding sale of banned items to Iraq.

The alert thing is funny... it'll never be "green" because then we won't need a DHS and if it goes to "red" without an actual attack, that would mean the DHS is ineffective... so it will always be "blue," "yellow," or "orange".

What a gig... I tell ya... in government there is no job security like security.

Oh... and yeah... absolutely, I'm all for smaller government.
