The only diferance for the mostpart is the plane set's and areana seting's, while those things tend to happen with less frequency they stll happen people still get vulched and you will have kills stolen, but it doesent hapen as often. The CT is not some mithical area devoid of dickheads and dweabs, they are their they just cant thrive in the CT enviourment.

Yea, but you only got vulched by 2 or 3 different kinds of planes, and they were all from an authentic enemy country!

Good point.  I dont think the terrain is accurate in this set up.  When I hit the ground I blow up way to fast. I thought it was kinda sandy here?:D

Try it again another time Lars. Its not always bad.

I'll poke my head back in another time. The combination of few people on and having an enemy task force just off shore of the nearest field to the fight and our HQ then trying to grab alt and avoid it's ack cover to greet 4+ enemy 10K above...well, it wasn't a pretty picture.

My SA is hosed with the short icon range, my red zone used to be D3.0, now every icon is in my red zone...it'll take some getting used to for sure.

Lars,
Thas actually the better things about the CT vs MA, ecept the CVs. Youll like it, hang in there a while. Remember, depart a rear base, grab alt and if you are the only action in town, you will be "seen".

In our squad, my guys are instructed to remain high and only send in two (a single element) to enguage a single con. If the con wins, well, he diserved to. This was not to give the con a fair fight but was to protect the rest of the squad from being bounced while attacking (gangbanging) only one or two cons.

Come back, enjoy it and join a squad. There are several both allied and axis.

I was one of the three 109's that participated in the event you describe.
Would have commented in the arena or apologized, but was too busy dodging yer fleet and shore acks.  ;)

Actually, we see incidents of "ganging" in each setup.  Don't expect to not see it............this instance was not planned, it just happened.  Had I seen the other two in time I would have pulled off and left 2v1.  Surely a Spit can handle 2 109's?
Last week I got tangled up over an enemy base with 7 Hurricanes and a P-40.  Only thing that irked me about it was the fact that I had flown over a sector in my E4 to fight, only to find them hovering over their base in case the doo-doo hit the fan and they had to bug out.  Add the fact that the Brits/French outnumbered the LW by 15:6 at the time, and yep, I was peeved too.
Don't let one incident keep you away from the CT.  Hell, don't let a few of them keep you away.  It happens, just another clue that AH is not perfect.
If all it takes is one incident to make you throw your hands up and quit attending the CT, then I say you are looking for a reason to not like it and aren't giving it a fair look before you make up your mind.

C'mon back, Lars.

Larsmiester, for what it's worth coming from me, the CT is by far the best thing going about AH.  Yeah, gangbangs happen from time to time, and all the things that happen in MA still happen as well.  It irritates the poop out of me as well, but you learn to deal with it.  It doesn't happen NEARLY as much as in the MA.

In my personal opinion, the fights in the CT are much better due to the fact that, usually, you're playing against someone who isn't a "dweeb", who is more skilled, and all around more good natured.  But the biggest thing I LOVE about the CT is the fact that you only have two teams with the "appropriate" set of aircraft fighting each other.  I think that's the biggest selling point of the CT...at least it is to me.

Let's put it this way, I haven't been back to the MA in (no lie) since December of last year, and I don't plan on going back.  When I have to time to fly (which comes and goes in spurts), I fly the CT, regardless of the numbers there.  It's better with more, but can be just a fun with less...You just have to fly a bit further to fight.

Oh yeah!  Almost forgot to plug the terrains!  The dweebsters can have the 1,000,000 foot mountains and all that crap.  I absolutely LOVE the terrains in the CT (except for the Pacific ones...never have been much of a Pacific guy).  The terrains in the CT are outstanding!  The creators put a lot of time and thought into making something that's "historical", and therefore, in my humble opinion, much MORE enjoyable.

Anyhoo, sorry for the long speal.  I just LOVE the CT and hate to have someone not see the perks of it.  Give it another go mate, you'll come to despise the MA.

MrLars,
One thing about the CT is if the numbers are lopsided it does'nt last that long..more people come in and or people change side to try to keep it even..its no fun 8vs2 for either side

This I gotta agree with, the lack of flames in this thread and the fact that I saw a 202 pull a double immelmen after the merge proves that the CT community is a bit more mature as a whole and the fights more interesting.....JHC, I haven't seen a double immelmen since AW3's fightertown  ;)

heh, it might've been someone i have taken to the DA... or not...

CT is a hit or miss sometimes... sometimes it's all good, other times it's as dweeby if not more so than MA.

the only real difference is the plane matchups, and to a lesser extent dar and icon settings.

on the plus side, there are some pretty cool maps.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.
