Yes it was used , Air Luanched by Betty bomber's, Several ships were hit with the Baka, including the West Virgina, Ohka's did sink ship's, most notably of Okinawa.

The model 11 Ohka caried a 1,200KG warhead.

The big question is, one would HTC model the Betty to cary it and would they model the Baka as a load out then do somthing special to allow it to be Crewed?

Perking it would be a must, this would be a fun Perk Buff to be shure.

But a P38 can cary more in terms of bomb weight than the Baka can deleaver, so...Although the Rush of that ride might be worth the effort.

Also we see sucide dweabs all day in AH so this is certainly not a sacared cow conceptualy.

Ya Freeze, it is just an interesting idea be kinda fun to ride her in, but I honestly dont think spending time on it is whear I would want htc to go at present their are so many holes in the plane set I could not rationalise it in any way. Not to mention the fact it is a two plane prodject, the Shore launched vershions did not ( I beleave) become a reality by war's end.

I don't see how someone would want to fly something into a ship just to damage it if not destroy it, thats just suicide, mentaly I mean, and Brady, how many where actualy flown?

People do all the time in AH.

They were taken aloft by Betty bomber's, and realised near the target, they would then initaly glid in toward the target area, the piolet then trigered one, or all three of the solid fuel rocket motors in the tail of the aircraft to spead  him in to the target.Like all Japanese aircraft it was very manuaverable and had rudimentary flight insturment's.
Three Type 4 Mark I Model 20 rockets provided a combined thrust of 1,764 pounds for 8-10 second's. They were capable of aprox. 403 mph in leval flight at around 11k ft. The Model 11 had a range of 23 st miles, this was the largest production varient some 755 being built, 50 model 22's were made they had a range of 81 st miles, the model 43B could go 173 st miles. The model 22 had a Campini type jet engine in it The Model 43 had a turbojet in it and was intended to be surface launched, from Sub's or catapult's.

Baka, interestingly is the allied code name for the Ohka, it is the japanes word (baka) for Fool.

The terminial dive velocity was around 576 mph, which was the idea they would aproach the target and then go for it diving in at  max spead.

I am not shure how many were used operationaly, one of my referances sights 16 parent aircraft and Baka's used on the first operational sortie, and on the second it say 4 ship's were hit and one sunk outright, the West Virgina was hit and 3 transports off Okinawa, on the First of Aprial 1945, so thats at least 20 Baka's, and I know more were used than that althought I am not shure how many, I will look a little deaper.
