Greetings.
In the current modeling of the coast artillary we all see these unrealistic pill boxes stickin up out for the ground like little buildings and all, What I would like to suggest is a dissapearing artilary emplacement much like what the California coast had around the Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
While these batteries were only fired a few times and never saw actual battle, similar batteries did. (Most notably the phillipines)
it would be a real kick to be firing from the CV, watch a 14 inch Cannon rise above the ground, fire, and then pop back behind the reinforced wall. You caould not hit such an emplacement with the cv, you would have to get it from the air, or with a ground assault.
Such a tactical situation would make a lot of the present base captures really interesting,
