Yet another lawsuit

cookies are bad

"The suit, the first of its kind in the country, asks for an injunction ordering Kraft Foods to desist from selling Nabisco Oreo Cookies to children in California, because the cookies are made with partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, also called trans fat. "

This is a direct offshoot of the tobacco lawsuits which pumped billions of dollars into the lawsuit industry.  This won't be the last one.  One day we'll all live forever.

Oreo cookies are one of the best foods on the face of the earth.  Next thing you know they'll be going after #1: Twinkies.

had a engineer swear to me that the cookies were made with a large percentage of calcined coke ( whats left over from the gassoline/oil makin process). i called him a liar he didnt balk swore to it. the stuff is edible i found that out but i hope its not true.

Mietla is refering to the Twinkies Defense used by Dan White in defense at his murder trial for the killings of San Francisco mayor George Moscone and City Councilman Harvey Milk. In spite of the fact Dan White paused to reload his .357 Magnum revolver while going between the offices of Mayor Moscone and Supervisor Milk the jury bought off on the notion that Dan White was incapable of knowing what he was doing due to an overdose of Twinkies.

Dan White later committed suicide, so presumably he was never able to overcome his Twinkies addiction.
