For a quick buffing a great thing.

That sounds like SFTERR which was the second terrain we got.  It had A1 as the centre field and was at 10k.  Later versions lowered the airfield and put hills around it.

Hehe, would love to see that terrain in rotation again, was great fun!  Remember the V base due south of A1, and the airfield to the its west which you could roll down the hill to in a GV at about 200mph!?

I remember the good ol days when you could bail out in the valley in the middle of the map and get everyones proximity kills. Man I was good then! When you would get shot down in a B-17 with a gunner and you both bailed high, the gunner would still have machine guns while in the chute. We bailed out over a base after de acking field and took machine gun the the end of the runway and vulched. TRUE EXPLOYTATION AT IT'S FINEST! Oh and chasing FISHU all over the map at 30K to try and end his streaks. This game has been a blast from the start.. we all just grew with it.

I miss the beta map .
Mountains with snow on top.

Beer and pizza in the left top corner.

I don't know what, but something had more charm back than.
Maybe i'm to spoiled now.

I hope AH2 brings back some charm.

Something else I remember is that the ack used to have tracer!  Used to look quite spectacular when approaching a field!
