Fight the ticket,  I bet he wont even make it to court...  If he does explain to the judge your case...  Be shure to write your airline the, FAA, and your local airport head a letter or two... describing your situation and how you will not a support an industry that is trying prey on its honest customers....  write your congressman to tell them to not bail out any airline that may belly up.... CC that letter to the people listed above...  Be shure to have these letters when you go to court to present the judge...  Now court is court...  any sane judge will look at the economy look at the current airline industry and kick your case out of court...  now the insane, our court system is a craps shoot...  Get a judge who doesn't like the way you look etc.. then youll lose..

way i see it its win if you fight it...  lose if you dont...  worst they could do for you fighting it is just pay anyway..  if you have the time to monkey around then fight it...

Umm...no jury for parking tickets.  And if the cop tells the judge that Zig was parked in front of the sign, which, oddly enough, is what Zig tells us, he doesn't have to lie.

Anyone who's knowingly guilty yet fights a parking ticket should be charged for the court time they waste. Either that or flogged. Pay the freakin' ticket and don't waste the time of the Court system. Sheeesh.

Fight it Zig.  They may have you on the letter of the law, but I've never seen them ticket somebody for that without a warning.  Usually they will come up and say "if you don't move in 5 seconds I am going to write you a ticket."
If their goal was to keep traffic moving, that's what they would have done.  
Instead he went right for the citation pad.  Revenue is more important than traffic flow I guess.

In Texas you an appeal it to County Court and get a jury trial.

Strange- in Washington, DC there's parking signs with restrictions stated on them all over the place.

No Parking Or Standing: Means, you can't stand (sit in the car with the engine running) or park (turn off the engine and leave your car).

No Parking: You can not leave your vehicle.

But never a "No Standing" sign.

People sit in their cars with the engines running in "No Parking" zones all the time, cops and meter maids leave them alone. But if they do the same in a "No Parking or Standing" zone, they'll get ticketed.

I mean, if sitting in your vehicle with the engine running is considered parking... then what the hell do they need "No Standing" signs for??
