oportunity knocks
« on: June 17, 2000, 09:33:00 PM »
here I am huming along in a b17 over field 14 and low and behold I look down and see 2 aircraft on the runway.
I figure what the hell and pickle off a salvo of bombs on em and then continue on bombing acks next to them.

then as im watching the bombs hit from the ball turret the kill buffer goes berserk!!!

it seems I happened upon a huge knit raid on 22 and ended up killing 11 of them sitting on the spawn point.

laughed myself silly.
just wish I had filmed it hehe.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Wow, I never did more than 4 like that back in WB  . Had it done to me, though, when I was taking off a carrier with the Royal Knights, someone dropped a bomb right on the deck, killing 8 Knights at once. 11 is the most I've ever heard of though, gotta be a record.

Wow, If not lucky or good, you may as well act it! I rate you as both and give you the ole' right hand (four finger one opposing thumb) Salute. (AO2 DOES TOO)
This is the best online sim around. The likes of your disgusting and never ending bragging of your skills just makes me want to defect from Knitland and study/work hard to be your wingy so one day I can get some of the family sheep back in their pens for market. Then maybe I can retire and move back to that big hill with pizza and beer where I was raised.
Hehe, I'm happy for you. Nice Buffing.
From a wish I could say that. LOL
Other than that I like to hate you for that...Hehhe, Take care .. til I see you again.

The ballad of Citabria (to the tune of Beverly Hillbillies)

Come 'n listen to my story 'bout a man named Cit
Poor bombadier, barely could ever get a hit
An' then one day, he was droppin at a field,
An' up thru the buffer came a toejamload of kills.
Squad takeoff. Bad timing. Short mission.

Well, the first thing ya know, Cit's a double ace
His country folk said "Cit, get out of that place"
Said home base is the place ya oughta be
So he cleaned up his buff and he landed his sortie.
11 kills.  War hero.  Ticker tape.

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Cit and his big grin,
An he would like to thank that squad for kindly dropping in,
They're all invited back again to that locality,
To have a heaping helping of his bombs' lethality.
Explosions that is, set a spell, In his bombsight!

it was interesting, that's for sure.
Had just run the throttles of me 38 up when I see a blast and start to think someone exited thier aircraft to change thier loadout.  Then I noticed the radio buffer, then the view from the tower.  I was #6 or #7 in that group
I dinnae think any of us even bothered to look up to see if there was a buff overhead as we lined up.

I believe you have the new record for kills with an egg Cit.  My best was the day the B26 was released and I dropped a 1k egg into a formation of knight B26s on field 1, taking 6 of them out
