We can already type speed in for auto climb I.e.   “.speed 185” for example will keep your plane at a steady 185 while in a climb.

How about being able to type in exact Heading too.  Would be great for formation runs, Buffs etc.

That's an interesting idea.  The vehicles <alt x> autopilot currently maintains present heading.

More useful for formation flying imo would be an auto-trim key that uses a speed And a hdg, but i have no idea how that would work :P
maybe .spd xxx and .hdg xxx control a <ctrl-x> auto. (is ctrl-x used? i forget i really should read the directions for this game.. .lol)

wait, what am i thinking, a command to make buff formations even harder to kill? forget i ever said this pyro...

I really don't get this idea of buffs being hard to kill. IMO they're about right.

In Tour 5, which was the last tour I flew much in before ending my account, I got 21/3 k/d against the B-17, and 8/2 against the B26, in the Tiffy.

And in tours 5 & 6 I got 8 kills and no deaths against both B26s and B17s in the P-38, so it's not the 4 Hispanos...

formations, mmmmmmmmmm

please please, type headings!!in reply to -duma-:

i flew a snapshot a few weekends ago in a huge formation of 17's. We lost about half of the formation after the first attack. By the time buffs arrived on target, only 3 where alive, and one wounded. Just a little non historical tidbit from a flyer.

Buffs too tuff? Sounds like bs to me, from Tour 6:

Vulcan has 10 kills and has been killed 0 times in the Fw 190A-5 against the B-26B.

Vulcan has 22 kills and has been killed 4 times in the Fw 190A-5 against the B-17G.

This includes some pretty lame attacks on 17s too.

I think the buffs are just right.
