The next 3 to 4 weeks for me are a tad booked though, getting ready for a trip to Washington state, and then actualy going.

Oh and before I drive the Goat out to Dixon, I am going to need to get my cooling system issues worked out.

I think I just need a fan spacer and I know the lower hose needs to be replaced.

Yeah lazs, that sounds like a sweet Charger.  At the moment I'm looking for the perfect 69 Dart GT just stock only (one with out the rear fenders cut  )  It's hard to find them down here due to most people wanting better grip or rust.

Since the kids arrived I haven't even looked at old hot rods. My teenage years and early 20's were a little different. My favorite was my '70' Dodge SuperBee. It had a pistol grip manual trans and a 383(not a 440:( ) I let it go cheap too. *sigh*

Lol, forgot to mention the rediculous stock color......plumb crazy purple

wow that GT40 is a beautiful car!

If i had unlimited funds i would have one of these 3:-

Jaguar XK180

Aston Martin Vanquish - saw one driving around London the other day, everyone just stopped and stared!

McLaren F1 only about £600,000!

But... i love Mini Coopers, my first car was a red/white roof Mini with rally lights, racing stripes and i would love a newer Mini Cooper with wide wheel arches.  They are so much fun to drive :D

I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

SaburoS, dang!  I'd never seen that car before...I have my new dream-car now!  Ferrari F40 and Shelby Cobra drop on the list.

One day I'd be happy to own a simple 240Z with a small block dropped in and of course the appropriate suspension and all that.

I will be in the Port Angeles area, we are driving up to pic up my girlfriends kids from her X for the summer. we are going to spend like 4 days up there and then head back down..

I am not sure I would have the time! lol But I am sure it would be fun if I did.

I really love the State,  it would be my first choice as a place to move to.

Ah, yeah, PA is alittle out of the way, we're about 20 miles N of Mt. Rainier.

Have a safe trip!

87 Saab 900 Turbo, modified to run 20psi peak boost.

Newest addition: 99 Miata, just for cruising around. Might tweak it a bit.

Dream car....hmmm.....probably 65 Corvette convertible. Dad had one when I was young, loved that car.

GTO... drove the 468 elky yesterday in freeway parking lot traffic... 80 degrees out... had the ac on the whole time and never got out of second gear (and that is low in a 6 speed as you know) for a good 5 miles or so.... the ol elky just happily (and lumpy) idled away at 180-190 degrees..  not a hint of any overheat...  I was pleased.

puke... I got to drive a 240z witha 350 in it.  lots of room and a pretty easy swap... the z rear is way too fragile tho.   the z is also porky...  they are not light cars.

Lazs, I've never gotten to drive one but I saw one once.  Small block Chevy as I recall, but not being a mechanic, I can't remember what it was...LT1 or something.  But I'm surprised you call the 240Z "porky."  It's only about 2,000 lbs.  Now, the 280ZX and above are much heavier.  I've owned two 280ZXs and they are about 2,800 lbs.  I know there is very little hope for the 280ZX, but I love their look.

After posting I got into searching the web for Z mods.  This just looks too cool (and probably something I can affored):

240Z are about 2300 lbs.  They are bulletproof cars too.
260Z and 280Z got heavier though, and were less powerful due to emissions equipment.  Pretty much the story of every US market performance car in the 70's.

puke and funked... the guy who did the 240 swap told me he weighed the car before and after the swap.  it was 2500 lbs before the swap.
