I read with interest the post on sun glare, true it is a weapon to be used, as it was historically BUT people wore sunglasses or simply raised a hand, or finger, to block out our celestial orb.
BUT something else that I think is more important is our "virtual" eyesight, we are shown a black dot when an enemy is in "viz range"... no icon info' just a black dot..
MY problem is that this doesn't take into consideration camouflage, in the CT, or when the icon range is short, it's hard to see someone close as their plane detail is being displayed which means they're green (usually) yet if that same enemy is a bit further away they turn into a black dot that's FAR more noticable ?
I think what might be better is if instead of a black dot a shade of colour is used, that suits the plane... for example an F6F would be a dark blue dot, a Bf109E a light blue dot etc... this would allow planes, at a distance, to be much more realistically harder to see.
Thanx for reading this far
