Any changes to the icon system?
Frankly, I think the ONLY good thing WW2OL has is its icon system. It would *really* rule in AH.
For those of you not familiar with WW2OL icon system:
There's no rangefinder. Range is indicated by a circle around the con that "ticks away" the closer you get.
The icons fade in and out depending on how long you look at a portion of the sky. In AH, if you look into a furball at your 1 OC view, you will see everyone's icons instantly, and if you snap-look to your 6, you will see a red icon inmediately. In WW2OL you have to keep your view at your 1 OC for about 3 seconds. In the first second you see no icon, 2nd second the icons begin to "fade in" being grey in color, at 3 seconds the icons have become solid and their color shows (blue for friendly, red for enemy). Plane ID only shows up at second 3. Icons "fade out" in 3 seconds unless they are in your field of view ; so if a plane HOs you and zooms past you, you can look to your 6 OC and still see his solid red icon, as long as you track him with views the icons stay.
REALLY good icon system.
In AH this icon system would allow the "true" bounce (aka, now anyone just snap-6 view to check for red icons, not for planes) to be possible, gets rid of the snipe-spray syndrome and believe it or not, it actually encourages teamplay (because you actually WILL get bounced a lot if you dont have someone watching your tail.. no more snap 6/ hi 6 view to scan for red icons, 'cause you wont see them unless you keep 6 view for 3 seconds! and by then you will be bounced and nailed to the wall).
