will aces high 2 have a divebomb site?

Yes they did have dive bomb sight's, the JU 88's did and the AR 234 did as well amongst other's.

ya,,lots of planes had dive bomb sites,,which was model in air warrior 3,,,any plane with diveflaps had a flip up dive bomb site,,and even hellcats and corsairs had them too i beleve


im just wondering if aces high 2 will add this,,seems to be a very importaint peace of divebombing,,and i dont think it should be left out,,only thing i didnt like about aces high,,was the missing dive bomb site

How would they work much better than just using your crosshairs?

The dive bomb site in AW worked pretty much the same way as the one in the training arena.  Made divebombing very easy.

 instead of guessing with crosshairs,, the divebomb site lets you know when your strait up and down,,and the divebomb crosshairs wont appear till your completely vertical,,and gives you a nice x when your right on your target

that site made dive bombers way more accurate,,and it was used in many planes that were made for killing tanks boats and targets,,,,makes dive bombing ships more realistic and easier

i was just wondering if they planned to incorperate this into aces high 2,,,if they wanna go for realism,,they will have to add this site

actually, the D3A1 is the Japanese plane with the divebomb sight.  The B5N2 has a torpedo sight, which I'd love to be functional!  That would be so cool!

it would make it more real because thats what alot of planes had,i would love to see a divebomb site and torpedo site,,would make it a more well rounded game

im not tring to make a argument here,,im just tring to point out what else needs to be done if they wanna improve on aces high like the thread says,,i was just thinking one day,,were is the divebomb site ? wouldnt be hard to make one for the game im sure{good points on the torpedo site}

I like the idea of using the attack reticle as a separate sight from the fighter reticle. These reticles were both available on the K14b computerized sight used in several planes like the P51, P47 and P38 depending on the model.

Hmmmmmm . . .I thought the DB sight in AW, te FAP reticle?  Was modern technology applied to the planes ot make them more fun to fly and easier to hit with.  The entire gunsight--not just the DB sight--was an FAP.

im not sure sakai,,germans had the Stuvi 5B divebomb sight i beleve sence 1939,,and so did alot of planes,,,i figure if they didnt have to guess back then,,we shouldnt have to guess in aces high,,dive bombing back in the 1940's was alot more accurate then level bombing


but you mite be right,,i wasnt dive bombing back in 1940's,,but i beleve even the dauntless divebomber had a dive bomb sight

All planes had sights of some kind, but did they have floating aiming point reticles (that is:  a computer optimised lead computing sight?)  I don't think they did.
That is why I say that although they all had sights, they were not as sophisticated as the one in Air Warrior.
