We have the latest info on this sim in an interview with Rowan's game designer, Mark Shaw. See it at www.simhq.com.

I think you'll like what you see!

Andy,

I am also looking forward to this sim. I think the AI days are over for sims though case in point look at Aces High. I love the multiplayer aspects of ACES but would prefer a historical game play ie spits vs 109 etc.
Just imagine if Aces would employ a BOB arena
that would be awesome because it wouldf be pilot skill in close to equal AC and not have to worry about being picked off by a 1C.
(no flame war please). I would be highly interested in joining a virtual RAF squad with online play using roger wilco.  Maybe there are other gamers with the interest lets hope so...

I like very much Rowan's MiGAlley. With the latest graphic boards and features (like FSAA) it is now even better. If they import MiGAlley's AI, number of planes and wingmen interaction in BoB it will be a great sim.

From what I see, graphics are not so good, not the state of the art IMHO.
"And one of the finest aircraft I ever flew was the Macchi C.205. Oh, beautiful. And here you had the perfect combination of italian styling and german engineering .... it really was a delight to fly ... and we did tests on it and were most impressed." - Captain Eric Brown

Yes, I'd like to see separate arenas also...and maybe one day, it will happen.

I bought MigAlley long time ago and was quite dissapointet and never flown it much. The offline Gameplay and the graphics is okay but what does that matter, when the online play dosent work? I wont care about BoB untill I hear that internetbased multiplayer works in it.

MiG Alley. Hah. I bought the game. Had stuttering bug problem. Any help from Rowan? Well, for the first three weeks, they denied the problem even existed. Then, it was "hi speed buffeting". Then they were "looking into it" but nothing ever happened.

Sound was arcadish, graphics ridiculous compared to Aces High. FM seemed okish, but I never bothered to turn throttle back from full as it seemed to be best not to  .

No more Rowan for me, til they get people like HiTech and Pyro to get things done properly.

How many online players will it support?
Eight?
Sorta dismal prospects there for an online simmer.

There are 3 great boxed sims on the distant horizon for us all but the damned things, no matter how great, cannot do what AH does.

So lessee, if I do not buy B17-2, IL2 or BOB I can buy  about 6 months in AH....nope, still gotta have them, they are WWII Flightsims.

Gotta have Aces High too although I could do without some of their patronizing remarks to paying customers.

When did they put this thing in here and WTF is it for?
