perk plane icons

I would like the perk planes icons to be changed on these planes:


f4u4 changed to F4U

ta152 changed to 190

i am even for the temp changed to typh icon


simply to give more people a chance to fly these planes without being hunted.

I can understand (and support) the idea of "camoflaging" the hot version of the standard plane in this way, but what about the 262?

And GV's? What use are GV perkies? Can we have them for 262's, huh? can we?

No plane name is good.
Plane name is bad for TBM or Il-2.

Perk planes icons should remain the same with one minor change... they should be in bright pink so that the sissy is eaiser to see.

I think it should say

Bishop Knight  Rook
-1.2k- -1.2k-  1.2k

however i'd really prefer it to say

Bishop  Knight  Rook

and scratch the range finder, that way you'd have to use your own brain instead of your computers.  Have never understood why icons show plane type and distance, must be a reason thou. I've flown in the MA with no icons at all and its a hell of an experience, much much harder to ho etc, you really have to get on the six of your opponent or spray in the snapshot. Much more fun imo.

btw edited that post because BBS strips extra spaces from post, had to add - to get range icons in the right place.

I agree with the 1st Cit post. The 262 shouldn't be renamed cause its a 262, a class by itself. We should'nt have hightech satellite data and know exact versions of planes we encounter just their type. I agree it will bring more planes to the arena, and totally spice things making pilots fly smart and not take others for granted.I hope HT considers this.

hehe if ur low enough and slow enough to die in a uber perk plane, not showing what plane it is wouldnt help u, ur gona die not matter.

if ur dumb enough to low alt furball in a uber perk ride u deserve what u get.  perk planes are best used to cherry pick and run
