I was gonna say "ask him if he knows what kind of dip**** his daughter is dating" but I didn't want to take all the good material for myself... hardly any FDBs had posted here yet.

Pulling 12Gs with MiG-29s A/B/C/UB/SMT can shorten the MiG-29's structural lifespan. MiGs are also cheap, you can buy 2 Refurbished MiG-29 SMTs for the cost of 1 F/A-18 E/F Hornet. Since most of their action was A2G, you might ask him about how the tasking assignments were determined and how much ground support was provided in taking out enemy troop positions vs. hard targets like comm centers and gov't buildings.

On a lighter note, you might also ask him what the most commonly sought-after item was back at the base (I'm guessing DVDs and magazines) and what recreational opportunities were available.

You might also ask him about sortie rates (twice a day?) and flight time per sortie (2 hours, I think?) and what the biggest threat was to the aircraft (I'm guessing radar-guided artillery rather than SAM systems).
