Meeting with F16 pilot anyone wanna ask questions
« on: May 22, 2003, 07:57:18 PM »
My girlfriends father has a friend that just got back from Iraq and he is an F-16 pilot, I was wondering if anyone had any questions they would like me to ask him.  I plan on picking his brain for a few minutes this weekend.

Typical if this board I ask a serious question for some folks who might want to find out things and all I get is two friggin retards, with typical assclown responses.

We know that Grun is a retard but who is the other one you speak of?

Are you calling yourself a retard? :p

My questions are hardly "assclown" type material...they are more idiotic postings by a rambling fool.

Retard...as if :D

Ask him what he thinks about the Mig29.  See if they (F16 pilots) prefer to engage Mig29s BVR or try to get in close and dogfight them.

pfunk, this is prolly classified, but try for me anyway...

If he's at sea level going full out including max military war power, and he points it straight up, what alt will he reach before that F-16 falls out?

Also ask him if that bird is capable of structurally safe manuvers that exceed the human capacity to endure...

Thanks and

I can answer that one... yup, those planes can safely maintain several more Gs than a human.

The only aircraft I'm aware of that couldn't surpass human limitations were early WWI (1915) aircraft and before.

If he/she fires "Slammers" (AIM-120A) BVR missiles to MiG-29, its like being in a HO (head-on shots) situation and many AH players hates it.

F-16s are made out of "Composite" materials and (in my opinion)  they will never break in super high G manuvers.

My question is......... Which systems would replace the F-16?, the F-35 or the UCAV (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle).

F-16N's here at Miramar (lighter than other F-16 and better dogfighting 'cause they removed a lot of stuff that wasn't needed for an aggressor which just added unnecessary weight) started producing some cracks in the wings.
