I decided to catch up on a few emails and halfway through a bowl of cereal the message below arrived in my email. The cereal sits half eaten on the bench and a sinking feeling sits in the pit of my stomach. People who were proud to call Rod a friend even if some only know him by his callsign or email address have been stunned by the news from Tam, (Tam is Kiro's son in law and recently joined our small flock of Skyrats). Rod is survived by his two boys Thomas and James, (aka Krazzi and Freezi). How many of you would remember Kiro from the early days of Warbirds is probably relatively few but I felt it was worthwhile to let you all know that a true gentleman has gone on to the last hurrah.

It breaks my heart to have to post this message, i dont know if you already
know.
THIS AFTERNOON I RECIEVED THE MOST DISHEARTENING NEWS ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE
TO HEAR.
ROD VEALE aka KIRO WAS FOUND THIS MORNING AT HIS OWN HOME, HE HAD TAKEN IT
UPON HIMSELF TO MAKE AN END TO HIS OWN LIFE.
I am full of every emotion at this time,my heart goes out to his boys , his
family his friends and those who where just getting to know him .
Me and my family will miss him dearly, step father , father in law,
grandfather(pop) and can only hope that he has now found the peace that was
in need for him.
GOODBYE OLD BOY , WE WILL MISS YOU.
