OS debate
« on: May 24, 2003, 08:36:43 PM »
Recently, in our squadron, we had a debate amongst the members regarding OS's used.  It seems that it is divided between 98 (SE & ME), Win2K (which I use) and XP.

Some people swear by their OS's and some have been having ongoing problems.  I used 98 SE for four years and was always having memory problems and hardware conflicts.  With my new rig ( a year old) I used 98 SE again and had the same problems.  I upgraded to Win2K with all ths SP's and have zero problems.

What OS's does everyone else use and why is it better than the others?  I think this is a very interesting subject and I know it was covered in "Operating system question" but I'd like to bring it back if that's ok.

Cheers.

Windows 98SE was OK until Win2k came out.  I can't imagine ever switching back to that turd tho'.  Just the fact that I can leave my computer running for months without it taking a nose-dive is enough for me.  The lack of BSOD's is a plus too.
