I wanted to go Down town Detroit and watch the low level fly by down the river front. It was supposed to be the B17,P51,TBM, and a Korean war Jet (i forget what)
It would have been cool to see those things in Formation at 1500ft.
i was at work when it started and they did 2 fly-bys right over us at work!
there was about 8-10 planes in a lose formation. i was some p-51s. some jap planes (not sure what ones) and i want to say p47's. i was in such aww i really didnt look at the planes that close. i was just excited to hear what it would have sounded like back then as a squad was flying!
the show as awsome, they had pilots from ww2 standing by there positions in the b17 and you could ask them questions, they also told some awsome stories! WW2 vets were all over the place and there stories were something else. Hearing stories from someone who was there is something i will never forget!
im also going to the aug air show
