strange how the usually beautiful lines of the spit are disturbed by LW's blunt style of markings.

forgot who it was but they had all kinds of allied aircraft in axis markings and Vice-Versa.

It performed about the same. A DB605A and its Merlin counterpart of the time had simmilar power.

Anyway pre-griffon spits are so ugly as it is nothing can help, not even attractive LW markings or tasteful cosmetic alterations.  :)
