Anyone running an ASUS A7V8X Mobo?

i am but i want to see what kinda preformance others are gettting out of this MOBO and what you have in them! (video card ram etc.)

here my system:
ASUS A7V8X Mobo bios ver1.1
Win xp pro (just did a fresh install)
AMD 2200 Xp
512 ddr 3200
ati 9700 PRO
sound blaster gamer 5.1

With newest ATI catalyst 3.4 drivers
Via's newest certified chipset drivers
DX9.0a

Im getting 80-90  max in the tower
average 50-60 in flight
and ive seen it drop in to the high teens in a furball.

IMHO your video card or motherboard is hosed, if everything else if functioning normally and your getting those bad of framerates something is seriously wrong.

Have pretty similar setup except I use the on board sound, an XP2100, one stick 512MB Corsair PC2700, Win2k and Dx8.1.

In flight I get 120 max which is top refresh rate for my monitor at the resolution l run. Sometimes it will drop to the 60-70s for a little bit in heavy action and yes once it dropped into the teens but I think some background crap started running.

Actually Pfunk i pulled the old switcharoo with the video card went to the store(large chain one) bought a brand new ATI 9700 PRO , and swapped the cards last week!  but same thing .
Everything else runs fine i dont think the mobo is hosed!

my refresh is set @ 100 and i play @1024 x 768.
Video card set on defaults basically.

Im need to download and  run that sandra soft and see if that finds any bugs.

Boxboy, you may find that higher resolutions will get you as good and maybe better framerates with that videocard.

Also, you may want to check the card default settings,it may have AA and AF cranked up.

I have had the same results with my AIW 9700 pro on xp 2700 running 1200x1600(80 fps in tower 60 to 70 inflight). I am also running Win xp pro but on an ASUS A7V333. I have tried pretty much everything I can think of to improve my frame rate.  We are getting about the same frame rate as my old Geforce 3 Ti 200.

I was thinking after reading your post this morning I might make a new partition and try running Windows 98 SE.

Also tried the catalyst 3.4s but reloaded the 3.2s they look a little better to me and it didn't help framerate.
