  - Estranged -- Guns and Rose
  - Wicked game -- Cris Isaak
  - If I close my eyes forever -- Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford

Gordon is folk, but "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is definately a ballad.  A very good at that.

Also, Harry Chapin's "Sniper" is one I consider very good.
