Nash, try it again, you may have had a carriage return in that line, or something that produced a character that the judge didn't understand.

It worked! I followed Hortlund's example, only I didn't use an obscene password that had to be filtered the way he did.

Just wanted to make sure that my country preferences are in the running when it makes the draw.

I *think* what the above says is that my preferences are noted, but no country/player list has been established. I.o.w., the Judge hasn't assigned the countries yet.

Sand, can you have a look at that (2-3 posts up) and see if I'm interpreting it right?

If we go with gunboat...we will not know which player plays what country? Is that so?

Sandman, you are already broadcasting to us via email. I'd like to respond back, but don't know the URL to log into in order to respond.

You asked about gunboat....I'd rather not play gunboat, because I don't think it's neccessary. No matter how much you like or dislike one or more of the other players in a game, at some point they will probably all be an enemy and an ally.

"Your enemy today can be your best friend tomorrow", and vice-versa, seems to be an apt attitude to take.
