hi, i need help with my joystick, i was flying and all of the usdden i just rolled and pulled up at the same time, i wasnt touching the joystick, i tried to pull out of it but nothing worked, now when i try to calibrate the joystick when its in center it usually jumps from corner to corner, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to fly, how to i fix it? i have tried everything i can think of, i even bought a new joystick because i thought it was mine.. but its still screws up, this is the only game it screws up on. HELP! i must FLY! MUWAHAHHAHA!

Along that same line of thought..... MY joystick seems to have a lot of dead space in the center, as though it is not sensitive enough. I have tweaked the dead band and dampening sliders as well as the other sliders (0-100) but I am not getting the desired sensitivity in the stick. Most planes will have a pronounced nose bounce to them as well. If I understood what the sliders did and what each one affected I could better use them to adjust my stick. The desired effect would be to pull onto a target and have the nose stabilize if I let up on the stick instead of go into an oscellation as if the plane is suspended from a rubberband. A setting that I have managed to use with some stability is all the sliders to the top and deadband /dampening sliders just off the bottom. This is on all 3 (pitch roll rudder) If anyone has a good setup for the sliders please help.

To aleviate nose bounce, have a nice "fat" curve in the pitch. To do this set the first few sliders not far off the bottom and build them up to 100%. Look to get a smooth but even curve. (I havn't a clue how to post a screenshot of my settings!:o )

I only have my Roll set fairly flat. I would never have all the sliders at the top as this makes the plane very twitchy. Damper can help, but I would set dead band to zero unless you have a lot of centre play in your stick.

Other people will have different ideas. Also remember some planes (Yak9 ) are much twitchier than others.

Took me ages to get it right. Lephturn had a nice link to the subject "Rocket's joystick settings tutorial" but I see it is dead. Come to think, havn't seen Lephturn around for a while?

to take a screenshot push.. "Print Screen" then go to a image hoster like Irfanview, Photoshop, and click "Edit" Paste or Paste as new image. then upload it to an image hoster. a good free one is Image Magician.

and now when i try to use the js, the throttle doesnt work!, the plane is stuck on full speed.......and i don tknow how to map the Z axis...

Well .......suggested settings a vast improvement..still don't have the feather touch I was use too before this upgraded computer required all this reinstallation tweaking but much better and I will work on it. . If I ever get this thing back to where it was....you bet I will copy settings files. Thanks for the suggetions.
