Ah well,..some days are better than others.

Nah, I have no reason to lock this thread.  I lock them, and I will accept the responsibility for that, just as the posters will accept the responsibility for thier posts.

Have not seen you around much LePaul.  How you been?

Skuzzy - I think you need a break.

Listen... all I do all day at work is surf the BBS anyway - I figure - Why not get PAID for it!!

You can go back to doing your usual routine, and you can leave the thread locking to me.

Where should I send my resume?

EVERY Bulletin Board has occasion to lock threads, right, LePaul? At least here this bbs doesn't claim to be censor free.

Anyway I'm happy, I got in as the last post just as Skuzzy was turning his key in the lock. :)

Saur, please don't take this wrong, but why does the idea of making you a BB admin send shivers up and down my spine. :D

Last few days have been slow at work, so I've been able to cruise the boards and post a lot (I'll never catch Rip!).

I'm alright, my hand surgery got pushed back 2 weeks, it was May 30th but the insurance stuff wasn't all in yet.  Now its next Wednesday.  Its not going to be a whole lot of fun.  I have a 3rd degree+ burn in my left hand that goes all the way down to my tendons, happened when i was 18 months old.  I've had a few surgeries in the past to improve range of motion but this time they are going to graft skin from my side to my burnt palm and release several of the scars in my hand so I can fully stretch my palm and fingers out.  I've put it off for years...cuz, well, I'm a wuss and scared of Drs, Hospitals and anything in white coats in general.  2 months in a hospital as a kid does that to ya.

How's the life of Skuzzy?

I was wondering how the surgery went.  Sorry it got delayed.

I know what you mean about those doctors and hospitals.  I feel the same way.

I am still kicking...hehe...I guess that can be interpreted on several levels.  Been pretty busy around here, which is good.

Skuzzy is right, Sar locknig threads is a truly horrifyingly frightening thought!

No offense though Sar!

Have you played with VB.Net?  Here at work, our software is all still (largely) VB6.  We're making stuff for PocketPC too, which is pretty neat...I haven't done anything for those yet.

I recall you were a C guy, didn't know if you were still dabbling with the newer development languages

All this dot net stuff hit just in time.  My usual $90 to upgrade WISE and other add-ons are now $300+...just for the "pleasure" of using them in DN

Hey Skuzzy since you're awake today do you guys have any plans on being at the Reno Air Races in an "official" capacity? Might be a good place to promote your flight sim. I remember when I met Moggy and the AW gang in 99 and was impressed by their display. I still have my Air Warrior ballcap. (sniff) OMG...I said "Air Warrior"... (choke)... (sob):(

I have avoided the .NET stuff like the plague.  I won't even allow MS to load it on my W2K computers.

The security holes are horrific and are not being addressed.

I am still big on C.  Although I have taken a liking to PHP recently.  For a scripting language it is pretty nice.  For certain things PHP is pretty sweet.  Still prefer C though for the real work.

Been playing a bit with MPEG2 at home.  Really neat compression architecture.  Wife got me a DVD burner for my birthday, so I have to know how to write to it. :D
