Having those bipes would be sweet.  I don't have any opinion about which ones would be best, but I think that is one of those things that would just be fun for the heck of it!

Not just for biplanes, but for all, I'd like to see a early war arena.  Something similar to MA, but without the unlimited planeset.

Maybe even an early war and a mid war arena.  Early going back to say 1936, mid starting about 1941 covering up to late 1942 or early 1943.

It's one of my BIG wishes.  I'll likely never see it, but it would be nice.

old airwarrior 3 bi planes sure was fun,,,when ya played modem to modem,,you could have bi plane vs ww2 fighters,,,i thought it would be tuff to shoot down a bi plane because they turn so well and slow,,but in fact it was flying so slow he would be a dead duck every time we went at it,,,,looked like he was just floating there, because he would be doing only like 80 mph,lol and me going 300,,was no contest,,he didnt have a chance,,and when i took the bi plane,,it was the same thing,,,nice easy target that can hardly move and cant run,,lol

but it would be a tons of fun to have a few bi planes in there,,and maybe a ww1 arena:)

I think we're mostly talking WWII era biplanes.  Planes with speeds in excess of 200mph.  In fact, most in excess of 250mph.

That is at least twice as fast as a WWI airplane, or close to twice as fast.

Yes were just (or at least I was) refering to WW2 BiPlanes. If you want to do a good early war set up in the CT or a SEA event you realy nead some of the above mentioned types. During the first two years (and into the third) year of the war Most of the above mentioned types were quiet common and for the most part very competive with other types particulary withen certain theater's and given the right plane adations these could be well represented and provide for some very interesting plane match up's.

Its the early WW2 biplanes and early fighters (some mono or overwing types) that have never been seen in any online simulators.

Theres also the very real fact that some of thes ancient outmoded fighters were actually used for almost the duration of the war.

There were for instance, Henschell 123's flying on the russian front as late as the summer of 1944!
They carried out the first ground attack of WW2 in the poland campaign! they were resigned to use for training and secondary support roles but they still saw action on the battle fronts (although increasingly rarely).

If these unusual early fighters were modelled I think they would actually attract people to try them out. Im sure the furballers would love them.

Slow good turning planes with weak guns = Long protracted and exciting dogfights where you can afford to take a few hits because the guns werent that effective.
Obviously they will be eaten alive in the MA but hey it will be fun trying to use them and when we have the CT or a scenario set in the early war they will rock! :)
