rod 367th is a rock, aces high should look after him, he helps out newbies, he is always there to give advice no matter which country you are , his bombing skills are legendary and he is alway ranked high in the rankings,

I like Rod, especially since he joined Bish. Rod likes to tell me that his parents named him after the largest part of his body.

To which I have asked him why he wasn't named "Head" - LOL

Just kidding, Rod!

Rod is indeed a most useful and helpful guy, and has a distinctive voice on voxx. Rod also understands the strat part of AH inside out, and makes sensible decisions like "guys, let's capture Pxx first, and THEN hit the CV, so that when it respawns, it will be ours!" - excellent plan. Too bad the suicide pork-n-auger guys wouldn't listen.

Even so, by following Rod's initiatives, we really started grabbing real estate. And the furballers did nothing to stop us.

Of course, there are those confused individuals who would despise guys like Rod, and dub him as "generalissimo", "armchair general", or "little Napoleon", and then start wailing you can't tell me how to fly; I don't care about YOUR war; it's MY $14.95... I very much like working as a team when I get the chance, and if following orders given by one such as Rod is a corollary of that, so be it. When it comes to making things happen in AH, Rod's da man.

Of course, there is another way to make things happen your way in AH, other than by a Rod-style strategic inititiative - Whine to HTC to get the game changed.

So true beetle but so many in here think they know game and will argue to they die that they are right. just a flew examples last couple of days.

Your wrong rod u have to kill all buildings at hq including black radar towers to kill Dar. 10 people tried to tell me i was wrong only white hq needs to be hit. Att least some were willing to check it out to find out I was right.

then I said noe is 499ft or less. this one 30 guys calling me idiot. Have to admit i ways told 200ft when i came in. Flossy set me st8. i went and tried her 499ft and she was right. First thing i did was apologize to her. But what they found out 499 or less was noe thier comments were FU i 'll do 200ft lol

and Then today had 4 guys argueing point that f117 is invisable to radar. I said radar can see f117, And was told your so stupid why do you think they call it stealth moron. I said because it has less radar signiture. but hey what do I know.

Now as for base porkers DADRABIT and I have found how to stop them. We just cut infront of them as they try to pork base. Once they die they don't come back

I guess those four guys never heard about the F-117 that was shot down by a SAM over Serbia a few years ago. If that isn't enough proof that the F-117 isn't invisible.

CC akak all stealth does is limit range that radar can see f117 the f117's computer then charts path around radar blanket.

I know.. its a crap factory vid card, but when im not near those gv city buildings i get 30-40 frame rate which isnt bad.. Besides, i'd get a new pc b4 i upgrade this Dell celeron 860..

I believe that the missile that nailed the F-117 was fired without radar lock. The Serbs were shooting dozens of SAMs that way with the hope that it might get close enough to influence the proximity fuzing. While they had no radar lock, they did have the ability to hear. Finally one SAM got close enough to detonate the warhead. Some folks have attributed this shootdown to ultra-low frequency Russian radar or a Czech designed passive sensing system, but there was no evidence that the Serbs had anything like that. As far as I know, the Defense Dept has not released any specifics on this loss, one way or the other.

You'll also notice that the plane takes a course that keeps it at a constant distance from the radar site while going around it, to keep the doppler down. They fly in big circle segments--kind of like a DME approach in a light plane.

You're right, stealthy doesn't mean invisible. But with the tactics they use, it is effective invisibility.

F117 is definitely seen by radar, but the reason it is not detected is that it's (F117's) radar cross section is so small it usually gets lost in the clutter that goes through the Radar's filter program.

For those that do not know what a radar cross section is, imagine that each target went hit by radar waves sends back a square footage sized return. For simplicities sake, imagine a B-52 sending back a 500 square foot return, the F18 sending back a 50 square foot return, an average seagull a one foot return, and the stealth a 6 square inch return.

The problem is, setting the radar's filtering software to be able to pick up the stealth also enables it to pick up birds and other junk floating around. Coupled with spotty returns on the stealth make it difficult to detect based on speed analysis in the filtering as well. So, the best thing to do, is catch the stealth by setting up MOST radar sites on active pulse, thereby laying a route to allow the stealth to fly through, then, upon old fassioned audio detection, you activate the others, and Voila.... you just bagged yourself a 150 million dollar piece of american hardware.

Bout 4 years ago....
My first day in Warbirds, Joined a Squad Vf-33 Starfighters,
Rod was a member, he immediately took me and another newbie
under his wing and taught us the game, though he was much meaner then, and yelled alot,

he's pretty mellow now

So about a year ago,,367th packed its bag's and moved here.
Rod recognized all the familiar names, and joined our newbie squad, then taught us the game

I was the stubborn one of the gang, and didnt move over from WB till just a few months ago, joined back up with the gang,
I bug the sh*t out of him all day "How do i do this , and That" etc.
He has helped our squad a great deal. < S > Rod

hehe.. the Govt know's exactly how and why that 117 got hit. It will be many many moons before that info gets released.
