FW190A-8, Fuel 100%, Only 2x13mm and 4x20mm, Climbspeed 165mph IAS, No WEP, Starting speed 300mph IAS. Starting altitude 500ft.

Here we are:

Werewolf, you were quite right about the time to 20,000ft <G>.

Yes, and this falls right in line with what I experienced last night. I don't use WEP until I really need it!

Ah,

I was forgetting ... times to altitude have been measured with a Tutima Glashutte Flieger cronograph, made by Ustudmuffin circa 1940.
The same crono Pips Priller was used to wear.
Just for history's sake ...

Was that -87c series or the -91b? It is well known that the -87's had a vital defect in the plumendarfer reciprocator valve, rendering accurate measurement unlikely...
